Frequently Asked Questions

Just in case you didn't already know, God has made you perfectly and wonderfully in every way! There is no one else like you in this whole world. We are all incredibly different, but we have one thing in common; we were all made by the same Creator and He didn't make any mistakes! What does that have to do with FAQ, you ask? Nothing, we just wanted to remind you how special you are! Now that we have that established, we hope this page will answer some, or all, of the questions you might have about our Church.

-What should I wear?

What you are wearing right now is fine with us. On a Sunday morning at BSCC you will see everything from shorts and jeans to dresses and suits. We are much more interested in YOU than your clothes! We do ask that you cover everything that should be covered and that you don't wear anything with obscene language or political/social agendas. Other than that, put on whatever you are comfortable in and come join us in the pews!

-How long do the services last?

The weekend services at BSCC typically last an hour to and hour and 15 minutes. You're always welcome to stay after the service and get to know the members of our congregation. We'd love to talk to you.

-Will I be singled out in any way as a visitor?

At BSCC, you’ll never be put on the spot, never feel forced to give money, and never embarrassed. You don’t have to sign anything or register your attendance in any way. We do have "Guest Cards" that ask for some information about you, but it is completely your choice whether you fill one out or not. It is our hope that you will fill out a card so that we can follow up with you after your visit but again, that is up to you.

-What kind of music will I hear?

At our Sunday morning service you will a hear a blend of the old, traditional hymns, as well as, some of the newer contemporary songs. With that being said, we don't focus so much on what style to play as much as WHO it is played for!! The songs we sing are ALWAYS about Jesus so we strive to make sure that whatever the style, it is done well, respectfully, and reverently.

-Are you handicap accessible?

YES! We have handicap parking in our upper parking lot, behind the Church building, directly by the entrance. We even have an over-hang if you'd like to be dropped off directly at the door. Once you come in that door, the sanctuary is straight ahead.

-Do you serve communion?

Yes. BSCC practices “open communion”. If you are a follower of Jesus, you are welcome to participate in communion. Communion is offered each week during our Sunday Worship Service. The elements, represented by grape juice and a small piece of bread, are passed down each row in trays. Participants are asked to take a small juice cup and cracker; please, hold onto them until we take them together. If you do not wish to participate in communion for any reason, please do not feel any pressure to do so. Simply pass the communion tray to the next person. You will not be singled out or made to feel uncomfortable.
